Happy New Year!
From
my teachers and myself, I wish you and your family a very happy,
healthy, prosperous New Year. May the year be filled with endless joy
and boundless peace as we all begin this new cycle together.
New
Year's resolutions are nothing new. But they seem to fade quickly. Why
not start the year with a positive intention? We call this your
"Samkalpa." Write it on a piece of paper and tape it to your mirror.
Visit it every morning and say it to yourself aloud as you look into
your own eyes.
Or,
take a "wish box" or mason jar and each day write something good that
happened to you on a piece of paper and put it in the box, or write
something positive that you are feeling that day. At the end of the
year, revisit the notes that you deposited.
It
is up to us to cultivate the life that we want. I saw a sign recently
that said it all, "Life has no remote control. If you want to change it,
you'll have to do it yourself."
Yoga
can bring you an abundance of peace and calm. At One Yoga Center we
have manifested a family of students and teachers that truly care for
one another, and are there to support each other through the years ups
and downs. To be a part of this group of like-souls, all you need do is
show up.
See you in 2013!
