Dear friends of One Yoga Center,   Welcoming October, one of my favorite times of year. Energy has shifted and we are moving into a colorful, vibrant time to be alive. Allow Fall to be a sensory explosion! Do you feel the freshness in the crisp air? Are you witnessing the awe of Mama Earth's color palate? Do you enjoy the taste of autumn spices? Can you hear the rustling of the leaves, twirling in the wind?   Yes, let's explore the sensations of this time of year together with a lovely walk through our area! Join me for a complimentary sensory walk through Hightstown on Sunday October 10th at 11:30 am. We will meet on the street in front of One Yoga Center, and set out from there on a leisurely stroll through Hightstown together, enjoying all that Harvest in Hightstown has to offer!   We are all healers; whether you are trained to be one or not; so anything you tough with your hands, send loving, kind energy through them to the person or thing receiving your tough - that includes yourself.   Autumn is a time of releasing, letting go, shedding, and of finalizing. Harvest has come, and the work of this year is done. We are moving into the dark time of winter for reflection, rest and contemplation. It has been a long, difficult year, hasn't it? What needs to heal within you that you are still holding on to? What is it time to let go of? Isn't it time to get back to loving life? Rev. Dr. Tracey L. Ulshafer ~ October's Message ~

Dear friends,    October has always been one of my favorite months of the year. I am finally into my new home and get to enjoy autumn in Veteran's Park, which is in my backyard. Of course yesterday I think I broke my foot, which will slow me down from lots of walks, but that's another story altogether!   Fall brings a winding down of the energies of summer and a closing out of all the hard work we have put into our lives the past year...and it has been a long and difficult year for most of us. October provides us with a time to heal our inner worlds. Along with this comes an opportunity to join me for a Bloodline/Ancestral Healing on Samhain, October 31st. You can take this time to start cooking warm, nurturing, spicy soups, to take in all of your senses and invite in joy and gratitude for all that you did accomplish - despite what  the world around you may have been doing, and to release the toxicity of things that need to go. As the leaves fall off the trees and to the ground, Mother Earth receives them for transmutation. We too have this opportunity now.   The cards for October were strong, like the energies of the month can often be. I was called to work with an Egyptian Tarot Deck, that I honestly never felt a pull to use until now, even though I have owned them for over 20 years. I also drew from the Angels and Ancestors deck to see what can assist us.    The reading (see picture below):  KING OF SWORDS + 3 OF CUPS + 10 of SWORDS & Knight   Swords relate to the air element, intellect and quick thinking. They often tell of action that must be taken, like the King who dives in, takes charge, and asks questions later. Something is of urgency and needs our attention. Perhaps the time for waiting is over, and whatever has been plaguing you needs be resolved and put to rest - NOW.    The 3 of cups indicates once this action is taken, there is a time of joy and celebration. The 10 of swords confirms, the worst is now over, but for those who have not taken the necessary steps, yes, there is a final blow that may come.    The Angels & Ancestors gave us the Knight card for this month. His tagline: Be Brave and Honest. Knights make a pledge to fight. Knights go into action with honor and integrity behind them. So whatever it is that you must do at this time, get it done, be honest about it and know that there may not be "rewards" because whatever needs to be done is serving your Highest Self and the greater good, and THAT is the ultimate reward.   Strong message for October. Not all healings are soft - sometimes the bandaid needs to be torn off, and there is a little pain, but the wound may not heal properly until you do. So, I think the theme is to get off your butt and get it done.
