Dear OYC Community,   Welcome to December, the final month in another creative year, where we never know what unexpected energy will come our way, and continue to navigate the changing surf the best way that we can. Many folks are feeling quite exhausted or depleted, with lots of different physical and mental issues arising in what seems like out of the blue, and then leaving just as soon as they come in. The changing landscape in the sky - from geomagnetic activity to eclipses and retrogrades contributes to our feeling out of whack as well. And then there is the transitioning of energy that is causing many old systems to fragment, dismantle and dissolve. It is both a fantastic time to witness this change, as well as one of the most difficult times ever to be alive.   Winter Solstice is upon us - the longest night of the year. This also can be challenging energy for people who thrive in the light but fall apart in the dark. To allow yourself to be in here and live in the shadow aspects of the self causes many people anxiety, depression and worse. But the good news is, the light is coming. We know for sure that every day after that Solstice that the light returns longer and longer, and for some that is all the hope that you may need.   Although I am normally quite festive this time of year, I am finding myself in a place of contemplation, considering the things in life that are truly important, rather than the superfluous items like decorating and gift buying that used to bring me much happiness in the past. And while this may seem a tad depressing, in honesty it is not. It is just, I believe, a part of the changing tide to align with people, places and things that resonate with you on a higher level and speak to your Highest Self.    Perhaps you are also finding yourself in a contemplative state as of late. Perhaps you too are finding it imperative to move yourself to positions that bring you greater joy and ease - rather than cause you unwelcome stress and agitation? Or perhaps you feel a discontent on some level, yet cannot bring yourself to a contemplative state long enough to figure any of that out. Either way, I believe we are all here now to do this work, and to align with the highest vibrational energy possible to you. So while December may normally be about family and celebration and outward or external focus, I'll plop the idea here of inward and contemplative focus for the month. No doubt there will be responsibilities and obligations to fulfill to the outward part, but at the very least you can use this time to work on the inner part during your own time...or so if you choose to.   I hope that the offerings I am bringing you this month will assist you in that navigation. First, I am bringing back my High Light Resonance Attunement - a group energy attunement that I created using various shamanic/harmonic tools. You can register for it using the link below, which takes you to the website, then scroll down to events.    Also, I am launching a new channel, addition to The Vault, and collaborating with a respected former-student of mine, Beth Barling. Together we are bringing you "The Order of the Rose," a pre-recorded channel to connect to the Divine Feminine through information, meditation, embodiment yoga practices and ceremony/rituals. We have been living under a patriarchal society for several thousand years, creating a wave of disharmony and even content for the feminine. I truly believe that creating harmonious and unified energy in the world comes with embracing the feminine qualities - for both men and women. Beth and I will focus on a different goddess each month, but have loaded some multi-goddess December content to get your started. As with The Vault, this is a subscription channel that you manage yourself, and just as you can join anytime, you can also cancel your subscription at any time - although we think that you will really enjoy the information and practices enough not to.   And yes, to those who wish to purchase holiday gifts, our expanded Crystal Shoppe at One Yoga Center offers a myriad of ways to connect to natural energies and the earth, and make not only pretty but practical gifts for others, as our forte is in helping you find the crystals that support the healing that you (or the person you are purchasing them for) need the most.    So as we close 2021 and in preparation for another year of undeniable twists and turns, I want to thank you again for your support of the studio and my offerings. The work that I continue to do means little unless you connect with it. Ulshafer ~ December's Message ~ Dear friends,    Those of you who have been with me over the years have participated in classes, retreats, goddess circles and other events where I have focused on the Divine Feminine in some form or another. I have long wanted to start a formal group in which to work with this, and feel that at present having a virtual container will allow me to reach the most people at times convenient to them. As such, I am launching a new channel, The Order of the Rose, on the OYC website. The official launch is January 2022, but for those wishing to jump in, we are loading special December content now. My Doctoral thesis (still in final editing), provided monthly energy and spiritual practices linked together, and I always felt the 12th month to have an overall female feeling and thus had a strong connection to the Divine Feminine as the predominant work for the final month of the year.     Over the past year and a half something that keeps coming to me is the concept of partnerships and working with others. I could think of no better person to partner with than, Beth Barling, who is now embarking on graduate level work to reveal and share long-repressed information on the Divine Feminine. Her work, coupled with my embodiment practices make a match of strong goddess invoking energy - and all of that will go towards the content that we will share.   The channel is not just a subscription, it is an actual spiritual Order. You do not just subscribe, you accept entry to connect to the Divine Feminine Consciousness that within all. Although we promise to offer at least 4 videos each month: Beth's informational content, my Yoga embodiment of the goddess, a meditation and a ritual/ceremony, I see this as a much larger opportunity to empower women, and men, to initiate within him or her a powerful restructuring of balance that will eventually create unity. I am super excited at the possibilities that The Order of the Rose opens us to, and hope that you also are stoked about it.   It felt fitting then, to do a card reading with the Goddess oracle deck for December and for our community, at large. The goddesses revealed the following (see picture below):   Past:      Guinevere: True Love Present: Sedna: Infinite Supply Future:   Rhiannon: Sorceress   In the position of the past, Guinevere, who's roots are with the Celtic goddess Gwenhwyfar which means "White One," manifests as "True Love," perhaps as a reference to previous concepts of romance being now outdated. Maybe you have now come to realize that True Love comes from within and that romance, as in the olden times of Avalon, is an old-fashioned concept? Or, it could also mean that in the past you encountered a great love - or a soul mate, helping in rejoining of the two halves of your true self.   At present we are offered Sedna, an Inuit Eskimo, who shows up as "Infinite Supply." What a beautiful reminder in the now that we have not only enough for today, but all of our tomorrows. Sedna lost her fingers in a tragic accident, but created all sea life from the missing digits - a goddess tale of making lemonade out of lemons. She reminds us to practice giving and receiving daily, and we will never want for anything.   And then we receive Rhiannon, the Welsh shape-shifter goddess, as "Sorceress." First of all, if you have lost your sense of power, Rhiannon tells you to go outside and reconnect to nature. Once you do that, any dormant powers awaken, reminding you that you can manifest anything into reality with the right intention.    Very empowering cards for December! The whole message, I think, is that your power resides within you and that you can easily reawaken to it by attuning. Perhaps a great way to launch into The Order of the Rose, if that feels right to you. Hmm, perhaps something to "Contemplate" this month!!!   Content on The Order of the Rose is now on our website.
